Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page for the Brompton Fountain.

As most of you will know Lucas was born with a large hole in his heart (known as complete AVSD). He spent the first few months of his life struggling to gain weight and had numerous issues feeding due to this condition.

At four months old Lucas was admitted to The Royal Brompton for life changing open heart surgery. The entire team of staff at the Brompton were amazing and we are so grateful for the wonderful care we all received (and continue to receive as Lucas will remain an outpatient for years to come) as well as the speedy recovery he made.

Looking at him now you would never know he had weight gain problems as a baby!!!

The Brompton is now under threat of loosing the children's cardiac surgery teams as the Government wants to 'streamline' the care in this field in the UK. However, The Brompton is the number one provider of this surgery in the UK and currently there is a battle to save the childrens services.

The Brompton Fountain is a great organisation helping families when they need it the most. They also provide event throughout the year for patients of the Brompton and their families, Lucas has just enjoyed the Christmas party (although didn't enjoy meeting Father Christmas!)
