On the 2nd of July  2022 i will walk 13 miles through the Brecon Beacons, starting from Upper Cantref Farm ascending Cwm Cynwyn and following the gap road to Blaen y Glyn Uchaf before returning to the ridge line and making our way to the peak of Fan-Y-Big(2351ft above sea level) level) our route will then descend via Cefn Clyff to the finish line back at Upper Cantref farm 

Last year I completed this challenge via Pen-Y-Fan in memory of my grandma who after several years with dementia passed away in 2014. Raising £380 in the process, sadly once again dementia has come into my life affecting my partners stepfather at a rapid pace. From one engineer to another and as a mark of respect I will once again be taking on the challenge to help bring an end to Dementia. Dementia has a huge impact on the lives of those who experience it, as well as their carers and families.

The Alzheimer’s Society is transforming the landscape of dementia forever. Until the day we find a cure, we will create a society where those affected by dementia are supported and accepted, able to live in their community without fear or prejudice.
