Story
Alzheimer’s Society are working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. They do this by giving help to those living with dementia today and by providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding ground-breaking research.
You may recall that last year we hiked 13 miles in aid of Macmillan cancer research and thanks to your generous donations we raised just over £2000. This year, we have decided to go the extra mile (or 13) and have signed up for a marathon hike in the Brecon Beacons in support of the Alzheimer’s society. A few of us have family or friends hit by this cruel disease and so it is very close to our hearts. To see a loved one taken away from you, yet still have a physical presence, not knowing who you are is heartbreaking. Any sponsorship to support this amazing charity, no matter how small or large will be hugely appreciated and will spur us on, not only on the day (June 22nd) but in the months and weeks of our training leading up to the big day.
Thanks, team Bootcamp Besties xx
