Story
On the 25th June 25, I will arrive at my 80th birthday. At the latter part of 2024 I lost my Sister-in-Law to a form of dementia called Louis Body. She passed away after 4 years of struggling against this horrible disease. My brother nursed her at home all of that time. Her age when she died was just 67! “Far too young”.
This was the catalyst for taking the challenge, which is to walk 26 miles on the Jurassic Coast with “Trek 26” in aid of Alzheimer’s Society, to raise funds for research.
It’s estimated that in the UK alone, over 1 million people are living with dementia, and it’s the biggest Health and Social Care challenge of our time.
I hope you will get behind me and help raise at least a minimum of £500 for this cause, when I take My Challenge on Saturday 7th June 2025
Thank you for your support
1/2/25
Thank you so much for your amazing generosity. I raised my original target from £500 to £850, and as you have all helped surpass this amount I am now aiming for £1500.
I salute you all 💕💕
I would like to thank everyone who has generously donated and pledged money for this worthy cause. You have helped raise just over the £2,000 to date. (April). My training is going well so I am reasonably confident that on the day I will make it over the finish line..
Thanks again, not just for the funds but the whole hearted support and assistance I have had from friends to get me there.
