Story

On Saturday 25 June we will be doing a half-marathon hike along the shores of Ullswater in the Lake District with our two labradors, Polly and Harper, in order to raise money for the Alzheimer's Society. This organisation does great work in funding clinical and non-clinical research into dementia and providing support to those affected by dementia.

We realise there is a cost of living crisis at the moment, so are not expecting large donations. If enough people are willing to donate 10 pounds each then we will easily reach our sponsorship target.

Walking with dogs will necessitate a few (okay, several) drink and snack stops, but we hope to keep a decent pace. All four of us have been doing regular training in preparation for the event and we are looking forward to it.

Thank you for your support.

At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.
