Story
hi all, I’ve chosen to do a walk for Alzheimer’s society as this disease has hit my paternal family hard with my dad being diagnosed during Covid and progressing fast which has hit us all hard. His sister my dear aunt has has Alzheimer’s for many years being diagnosed quite young and now in a great care home. My grandad and his sister also had Alzheimer’s. Seeing my dad fade away extremely slowly is breaking our hearts.
My wife Lisa was very close to her nan who she watched fade away from this disease as well as our friend Hannah’s nan.
So we have decided to take on this challenge which is a huge one for us (being extremely unfit) to help support other families with this alfull disease but also help the charity to one day find a cure.
Anything you give will make a massive difference. Thank you for taking your time to read this love Amy xxx
