Story
In December 2017, I quit my job in Bethlehem and moved in with my mother and farther-in-law. My mother-in-law had dementia to the extent that they could no longer assess what type it might have been. I cared for her full-time for 13 months. She eventually went in to a nursing home after a fall. In December 2021, she had another fall. After hip surgery she gave up the fight and died on the 28th.
In addition to this, in 2019, I was in hospital for three weeks, my liver was failing and I had three options, respond to the drugs, liver transplant or death. I prayed and thank God, the drugs worked, however, it has been a long road to recovery.
To even consider walking 2 miles in December last year was unthinkable, to consider 26 miles, five times, pretty extraordinary, but I know with God's Grace I can do it.
