Having witnessed dementia in our family, most recently with my father and mother-in-law, then hearing similar stories from friends and colleagues, it struck me just how many people I know, in one way or another, that have experienced this horrible condition.

Seeing our loved ones gradually fade away is tragic for all involved. It's such a common condition that I believe we need to do more to help an organisation such as Alzheimer's Research UK to continue to investigate and develop life-changing treatments.
