Story
Training for Nan, one mile at a time.
I’m taking on Trek26 for Alzheimer’s Society, walking 13 miles along the Norfolk Coast with my mum in honour of my nan, who is living with Alzheimer’s.
This is personal for us. Dementia affects the whole family, and having both worked with people affected by it, we’ve seen how much the right care, support and understanding can mean. This walk is our way of turning love, memories and determination into something positive.
So far, I’ve already walked 58.5 miles in training, through the weather, the tired legs, the wobbles and the small wins. Every step is helping me prepare, and every donation helps make these miles matter.
Alzheimer’s Society provides vital support for people affected by dementia today, while also campaigning and funding work towards a future where dementia no longer devastates lives.
If you can donate, no matter the amount, it would mean a lot. Thank you for supporting me, my mum, my nan and everyone affected by dementia.
Thirteen miles for Nan. Every mile for memories.
