It is awful to lose a loved one to a sudden death but people with Alzheimers endure a gradual (and sometimes not so gradual) decline with loss of memory through to an eventual lack of familiarity to everyone and everything around them. This must be awful for them but also excrutiating for their friends and loved ones. 

My father suffered this for many years before his death at the age of 69. For years before he died he did not know who I was nor my sister or his wife, my mother. Sadly my mother is also currently suffering with Alzheimers.

So I walk with pride to support this super charity.
