On August 10th, 2024, I am embarking on a 26-mile trek through the breath-taking landscapes of the Peak District, accompanied by some of my colleagues from Uniphore. Together, we're not just conquering a physical challenge; we're rallying behind a cause that's profoundly meaningful to me: supporting the Alzheimer's Society.

This cause resonates deeply within me. On March 13th of this year, I said goodbye for the final time to my remarkable mother, who succumbed to the grasp of this relentless disease. Witnessing her gradual decline over the years was a heart-breaking experience. As I cared for her, my heart ached seeing her essence slip away before my eyes. Before she got really sick, she said to me that she felt like she was 'losing herself,' and that really resonated with me. I can't imagine how terrified she must have been, knowing what was coming and that ultimately, this disease was going to take her from her family before she was ready to go.
