Story
1 in 3 lives will be devastated by dementia in the future.
On August 9th 2025, I will be taking part in Alzheimer’s Society’s Trek26 challenge, where I will be walking 13 miles to raise money for their charity. I will be doing this walk in memory of Grampy Bill who we sadly lost in February 2024, and in support of his sister, Kay, and her ongoing battle. 💙
Alzheimer's disease is the most common form of dementia, affecting over 900,000 people in the UK alone. Many are undiagnosed and facing the realities of their condition alone. It robs individuals of their memories, independence, and ultimately their ability to engage with the world around them. As this number continues to rise, the urgency for research and support for those affected has never been greater.
By sponsoring me in this trek, you'll be helping the Alzheimer’s Society fund vital research initiatives, provide support to families and caregivers, and advocate for policies that improve the lives of those battling this devastating condition.
If you are able to, please do consider donating. All donations go directly the Alzheimer’s Society and are greatly appreciated 💙
