This is my third trek 26 for Alzheimer’s society. Sometimes I feel like it’s the only thing I can do to help my nan and people like her. 

This disease is not an easy one to live with, and is often painted as a just being a bit forgetful. In reality it can change the person you knew, they can often be overlooked or forgotten by the services they so desperately need.

A cure would be incredible, but while they work hard at that, there needs to be decent funding and proper policies in place to support and protect these very vulnerable people, and their carers.
