Story
On Saturday, 3rd August, I will be trekking 26 miles along the Suffolk coast to help raise money for the Alzheimer’s Society. Amidst running a small business and planning a wedding, I’ve chosen to challenge myself beyond these endeavors. Training will be tough and long, woven into already busy days, and will also be solo.
Watching a close friend lose a dear family member to dementia recently has highlighted the importance of essential support for those currently battling dementia and investing in vital research aimed at finding a cure.
By raising money and awareness, I hope to contribute to a future where other families do not have to face the same heartbreak. This cause represents not just a fight against a disease but a movement towards safeguarding the dignity and memories of those we love. Every step I take and every pound raised brings us closer to a world without dementia, a world where future generations can live without the fear of losing themselves or their loved ones to this devastating condition.
Thank you for your support. X
