Teddy is a cheeky, funny and affectionate little boy. When he was just 16 months old he became ill, in April 2018 a tumour was found in his stomach and he was diagnosed with high-risk neuroblastoma.

Story

Teddy is the son of our dear childhood friend Emma and her fiancé Jamie. He has recently been diagnosed with high-risk neuroblastoma, a rare and aggressive cancer and is undergoing intensive treatment.

NICE has now decided to approve funding for the life-saving anti GD2 immunotherapy that Teddy needs, which he was previously being denied because of the cost. This is a wonderful victory...…..

However, If Teddy relapses, his chances of survival are just 10%.

A trial in America aims to prevent relapse but will cost about £200,000.

We are a group of Emma’s old school friends and will be organising and taking part in ‘Trek for Teddy.’

On the 18th August, a group of us will be setting off from Kingsteignton on a 50km route of rough terrain and steep hills, all to raise as much money as we can for Teddy. The finishing post will be in the village of Christow, Emma's childhood home.

We are asking for sponsorship. Please share this fundraising page and please, please donate what you can.

We will also be holding a grand raffle to be drawn at the finish line – tickets will be available soon!

Follow us on facebook and Instagram. We will be posting updates throughout our campaign and will make sure we upload lots of pictures and videos as we complete our challenge.
