We're home..... Full update tomorrow! Thanku everyone soooo much!! X

***UPDATE AUG 27th***

Hellooooo!

Because of various circumstances beyond our control, we're not able to do the Lyke Wake Walk. A few let downs in terms of logistics means we just can't make it up there. ;-(

Never fear however, as we're actually going to now be doing over 40 miles across the South Downes Way, still within 24 hours! We're just plotting the route, so as soon as we've got that, we'll post it for ya'll to have a look at...and laugh at our pain ;-) Here's some basic info on the South Downs

Still planned for the 11th September and we'll be setting off early in the morning.

Update you all soon!

Thanks again so much for all your support!!!

*** UPDATE JULY 4th*****

Hi All,

Unfortunately, we've had to make the decision that we need to postpone our walk until the 11th of September from the planned date 31st of July.

The North Yorks Moors & Lyke Wake Walk has posted a severe fire risk for the Yorks Moors which basically means they would be able to close the route at any point due to possible fire risk.

But, never fear, we're still doing it, just about 6 weeks later!!!

Thanks!
Matt & All

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

This July, we're going to be Trekking for Tor across the North Yorkshire Moors. It's not an easy feat having to complete 40 miles in less than 24 hours... that's right, 40 miles in less than 24 hours!!! Have a look at the walk at www.lykewake.org

We're doing this walk in support of the lovelly Victoria Tremlett, who is an Ambassador for Matt's Charity, Live Life then Give Life. LLTGL exists to help promote awareness for organ donation throughout the UK.

In early 2010, Tor became an Ambassador for LLTGL to help share her life story and help us to spread the word about the chronic lack of organ donors in the UK! Prior to that, she was whipping Matt (& the other trustee's!) into shape with her help as a volunteer for the charity.

Tor has the genetic condition Cystic Fibrosis which is now at the stage where she is in desperate need of a double lung transplant, to save her life.  Right now, Tor can't go out on her own, she's attached to an oxygen machine 24 hours a day and is getting weaker by the day. She needs her transplant now....

Having just turned 23, Tor as already been on the Organ Donor Register for 3 years (in July 2010) and time is running out...

Statistically, 3 people die every day whilst waiting for a transplant and through doing this walk we want to increase the amount of people signing the organ donor register & increase the chance of saving our beautiful Tor's life.

Please help sponsor us, to try and complete this ludicrusly long walk and please sign up to the Organ Donor Register via our website www.lltgl.org.uk

To follow Tor's story, please have a look at her blog

Remember, Think about it, Talk about it, Do someting about it...

Thank you...
