At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.

Story

As part of Manstal's 40th year celebrations, we as a business have committed to participate in 4 Events for 4 Charites, one of the events is the Geneva to Nice Cycle Challenge and our chosen charity for this event is the Alzheimer’s Society. The risk of Alzheimer's disease and other types of dementia increases with age, affecting an estimated 1 in 14 people over the age of 65 and 1 in every 6 people over the age of 80. But around 1 in every 20 people with Alzheimer's disease are under the age of 65. Millions of people and their families are affected by Alzheimer’s across the globe, in the UK alone it effects hundreds of thousands with it expected to rise sharply in the coming years! Everyone will know someone or have their own story to tell, this is why it is so important as a society to ensure those affected by dementia are supported and accepted, able to live in their community without fear or prejudice. Our chosen charity is committed to ensure this happens! Please give generously and support our cause, thank you.
