My mum was one of the toughest people I have ever known. Just over 2 years ago when she heard the words ‘Terminal Cancer’ she decided then and there that she was going to live. So, from that day forward the ‘C’ word was barely mentioned in our house, tears were limited and everyone else around her got told to be strong and keep going. 

She got given 6months but she took 2years 2mths through resilience, strength of character, unbelievable stubbornness and lots of love for her family. She fought right to the end but this unfortunately was 1 battle she couldn’t win, so within a mere 6 weeks cancer took her from us and left a huge hole in our family, which can never be filled. 

My mum’s home was her pride and joy and with the support of various cancer charities we were able to fulfil her wishes and ensure that she passed away  at home, just like you wanted mum ❤️
