We don't believe that CF should be a barrier to fun, independence or learning and as such we provide young sufferers with a personal gift of their choice or a one off financial reward for dedication to academic studies. Until we find a cure for CF, let's help the sufferers live life to the full.

Story

I'm competing in the London Triathlon to raise money for two charities: Ali's Gift and the Cystic Fibrosis Trust. I'd love it if you could donate any amount to the cause!

I'll be swimming 1500m in the Docklands, cycling 40km and running 10km on the 7th of August.

Ali's Gift is a charity that was inspired by my best friend, Ali Beament, who passed away in June 2014. The charity provides financial support to sufferers of cystic fibrosis, allowing them to travel, study and have fun. CF complicated and shortened Ali's life, but he really didn't let it hold him back. Ali's Gift allows people in similar positions to do the same.

The Cystic Fibrosis Trust funds research into treatment and cures for CF, as well as improving patient care and supporting their loved ones along the way.

I chose  the London Triathlon because it's hard work and I want to do something worth donating to. I've been swimming, cycling and running since April in preparation for the 3 hour slog in August. I really hope you can set aside a bit of cash to improve the lives of thousands of people who were born with cystic fibrosis like Ali.
