Hi, thanks so much for visiting our page.
We are taking part in the Flight Centre Triathalon at Marlborough College on 20th May 2018 to raise as much money as we can for the Brain Tumour Charity's Everest Centre which has been set up to carry out much needed research to improve the understanding and treatment of low grade childhood Brain Tumours.
Globally over 26,870 children and young adults have a paediatric low grade brain tumour. These tumours often cause severe long term health problems and can be fatal in some cases. The treatment options are dangerous, toxic and life changing.
This research will allow scientists to accelerate the progress towards finding more effective treatments for the disease and could be revolutionary in improving the lives of children living with low grade tumours.
Our little friend Toby, who is 10 years old, is the younger brother of Patrick (13 years old) and is in our year at school, and his older brother, Arthur (15 years old).
We all think Toby has shown incredible courage during his various treatments over the last 5 years and he never complains. Like many children with a brain tumour, he faces his personal "Everest" everyday just trying to live the normal life of a young school boy. He does a pretty good job at this. He loves life.
We want to do this for him and all his family.
We will also be giving £200 to Restless Development who organise the Triathalon for everyone.
Their vision is that young people everywhere should be able to demand and deliver a just and sustainable world.
