Celebrating the life of Barbara Ridges

Our lovely Mum died on 23rd August. She was 92 and had been living with lymphoma for nearly 3 years. Her original prognosis was 6 - 9 months but she didn't agree with that!
Mum was a nurse for all her life, mostly a district nurse. She was feisty, stoical, smart, kind, compassionate and the epitome of a matriarch.
Mum was passionate about the NHS, but also really aware that many people around the world did not have the luxury of the care and treatment it provides. She was pragmatic about the end of life and didn't stand on ceremony, so rather than send flowers, we'd like to ask you to celebrate her life by supporting a cause that was dear to her heart.
Thankyou
