On his 2nd birthday, after what had been a perfect day of fun with his family, my nephew passed away on 4th May 2013. Riley was diagnosed with a congenital heart defect at 7 months and we were told at somepoint he may require open heart surgery; this day didnt come. Three days prior to his next heart check, Riley passed away suddenly.

Olympic Distance - 1.5K Swim - 38K Bike - 10K Run

Training started last October with swimming lessons, picked up in January and has been pretty much non stop ever since with up to 11 training sessions a week!  The past month has certainly got a bit tougher as i juggle 2 jobs at work and finalise wedding plans for 2 weeks after the event.. i don't like to make life easy for myself!!!
