Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I've never run this far (and I don't intend to make a habit of it), so I know that I have my work cut out and I know it won't be easy - not least finding the time to fit it all in!
The goal is to train smart, avoid injuries, and finish strong. But the BIG goal is to raise vital funds for UNICEF.
The money I'm aiming to raise will go towards promoting children's rights and providing safe shelter, education, food, water and medical care that children need to survive and thrive around the world.
I'd really appreciate anything you can give to help. Even if you can only afford £1, it really is helping to save lives.
11p = a vaccination to protect one child from polio
£3 = a snug blanket to keep a baby warm in a hospital, day-care centre or refugee camp
£5 = enough food to feed a malnourished child for a week
£9.50 = exercise books, pens, pencils, textbooks and other school things to support the education of a child for a whole year
£20 = mosquito nets to protect 10 families from deadly malaria
£65 = a sturdy bike for a child to travel to school so that they don't miss out on their education
£150 = a school-in-a-box containing school equipment for 40 children to continue with their education during an emergency or natural disaster
