We are the national charity for people experiencing homelessness. We help people out of homelessness and campaign for the changes needed to solve it altogether.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

We are six students from Trinity School, Croydon (Adam Eastlake, Sarah Rogers, Niamh Singleton, Funmi Morgan, Will Perry and Tate Nicol) raising money for Crisis. Croydon is a diverse community of people and everyone should matter. We wanted to raise money for those around us that need a little bit of help from time to time, especially when it comes to having a place to sleep and rest.

We will be training to swim in cold water so that we are prepared to attempt the 21 mile stretch across the English Channel. This will involve a lot of cold water training in open air pools, beaches and lakes. We won't be wearing wetsuits so the training will mean we will have to work to get fitter and used to the cold.

The English Channel is also the busiest shipping lane in the world with over 400 vessels travelling through it each day. We will have to swim across the one-way system to reach France.
