One of the collateral effects of this pandemic is the chilling surge in domestic abuse since the lockdown.
Its Important to note that domestic violence can happen against anyone.
As reported by The Observer on Sunday the 12th of April: in the first fortnight of restrictions 10 women were killed by men they lived with.
The average number in non-crisis times is 3 women a month.
Women's Aid is a grassroots federation working to provide life-saving services and build a future where domestic violence is not tolerated. Amongst many services they offer a daily live chat for women who need help.
Women's Aid is urgently needing to raise funds to keep their support services running.
