I've decided to set myself the challenge of running this half marathon to raise money for Dreamflight so they can give seriously ill or disabled children a life changing holiday to Orlando in October.

I have committed to this challenge as although I've run a half marathon once before, looking at the number of hills around the course, it'll push me harder than ever to complete the 21 KM. I'm hoping the scenery and the fact we'll be running over the Golden Gate Bridge will distract me from the pain of the run itself.....here's hoping! 

As well as running it, myself and 2 other crew, Abbie and Mark, are responsible for organising 50 other friends and BA colleagues to also run it. 43 of the crew will be operating the 2 flights out to San Francisco the day before and then running the following morning!!! We are hoping as a team to raise over £20000 which will pay for 7 very deserving children to go on this year's Dreamflight trip.

Dreamflight is a charity that I've supported for many years and a trip that I've been fortunate to go on many times. I can guarantee that every pound raised will go to ensuring some very sick children get their "Holiday of a Lifetime". For a glimpse of what this amazing charity does, please visit....
