On Saturday 30 August 2014, Herefordshire and Worcestershire Chamber of Commerce is launching a new event named "Worcester Severn Festival" to celebrate the ancient life blood of the city. Included in this is a series of Dragon Boat Races between local businesses.

As a member of The Chamber of Commerce, Trophies Direct has taken the opportunity to enter the festival. Owners Calvin Fowler and Richard Insall have assembled a mismatch crew of individuals to take part. Despite competing for fun the team are looking to raise money for a charity close to their heart.

"In June of this year we lost a very close friend, Stefan Cotterill. All members of our crew have close ties to Stef, be it through family or friendship. We thought taking part in the Severn Festival together would be a great way to get together and celebrate his life. At the same time we can do our bit for charity and raise some money for MIND"

If anyone would like to make a donation it would be hugely appreciated, with all money going to a very worthwhile cause.
