I have been a Samaritans volunteer for nearly two years now.  I trained at the Central London branch and since then it has become increasingly obvious to me the vital role Samaritans play in so many people's lives - not just those who are suicidal but those who have reached a crisis point and need emotional support to help them through. 

Central London Samaritans relies entirely on donations.  We got over 80,000 calls, emails texts and face to face visits over the last year.  Every 6 seconds a volunteer receives a call and a donation of just £20 pays for five of those calls.  Anything you give will make a difference in the lives of people going through a difficult time.
