The Salvation Army - We provide unconditional friendship, support and practical help to people in crisis and in need

Story

On Sunday 2 October Manal Altawba is running the London Marathon to raise money for The Salvation Army. You can sponsor her here by adding the reference 'Manal's marathon' to your donation. She says, 'I want to live my life to be positive and live to help others. I think if you sponsor me it will benefit many.'

We're so proud of her - go Manal!

Twenty four hours a day, every day of the year. The Salvation Army provide care and support to people in need. In fact its what we've done for over 150 years. It is what we continue to do today and its what we will go on doing whenever and wherever there is injustice and pain in the world.

We help people based in the London borough of Merton who find they need support. This includes those experiencing homelessness, challenges with mental illness, and refugees fleeing war and conflict. We help anyone feeling hopeless.

Our donors and supporters - people like you - are part of our team! Together we offer unconditional love and support, without discrimination.
