"Although I am so happy to be now working for Tibet Relief Fund, I am also deeply saddened by the heartrending news of Tibetan self-immolations inside Tibet. I know that through Tibet Relief Fund we can bring positive change and make a practical difference for Tibetans. I do hope you will feel inspired to donate and help us continue our vital work."

From Tibet to Nepal; the story of Tsering's family
My father was 10 years old when he escaped from Tibet across the Himalayas to Nepal, fleeing Chinese occupation of Tibet. He was one of thousands of Tibetans to do so. My parents later settled in Jampaling camp in western Nepal and began to build their new lives as exiled Tibetans, far away from their homeland, families and friends. I was born a few years later.
With my four brothers, I grew up at Jampaling that is in a remote area of Nepal; life was a daily struggle – a struggle made worse by the rugged landscape and lack of resources. But I was was one of the lucky ones.
I enjoyed school and worked hard and then, through the kindness of strangers, I was given the opportunity to study at a college in England; this opportunity changed my life .
Today I help change the fortunes of other exiled Tibetans through working for the very charity that helped to change my life!
