Help us transform 1,000 lives and run for First Generation. Our award-winning Scholarship Programme tackles the full range of challenges that young people from the North West who are the first generation of their family to go to university may face.

Story

A team of Technical Services staff including Kate Dixon, Garry Pheasey, Antony Tibbetts, Adrian Castronovo and Leighton Moody will be pounding the streets of Manchester on Sunday 22nd May by participating in the Great Manchester 10k, we wish them the very best of luck! 

The team have selected to raise funds towards the "First Generation Scholarship Programme" which helps transform 1,000's of lives, the award-winning Scholarship Programme tackles the full range of challenges that young people from the North West who are the first generation of their family to go to university may face.

Quote from the team:

"We are delighted to be supporting the University's award-winning programme, as-well as taking up a fitness challenge.  First Generation helps bright young people from the North West secure an undergraduate place at university, and then provides financial support, and continued professional and personal support throughout their studies and into their careers, thank you for your donations"
