TrussyTrek 2018 - Magnetic North! a 900 mile solo walk from Dover to Cape Wrath · 1 April 2018

FMA UK aims to achieve major change in the way fibromyalgia sufferers are diagnosed, treated and supported. Our national helpline is 0300-999-3333; free information packs for the newly diagnosed; free Health Packs for UK health professionals and over 100 support groups and helplines around the UK.

Story

During April and May of 2018 I walked solo 615 miles from Dover to Edinburgh raising over £3,500 for Fibromylagia Action UK. I was originally hoping to continue to Cape Wrath (the far north western tip of the Scottish mainland) but due to a left foot injury I had to call a halt after 34 days of walking on average about 18 miles a day.

In addition to money, TrussyTrek 2018 raised Fibromyalgia awareness as I chatted with people about the condition in cafes, pubs, shops, chance encounters on street or path, in and out of towns, and with my hosts along the way...

THE JOURNEY CONTINUES IN 2019! I will be returning to Edinburgh in May to continue the walk and complete the 900 mile journey on foot from Dover to the top of Scotland at Cape Wrath.

Follow my journey, and let's see if we can hit that goal of £10,000 for Fibromyalgia Action UK!
