The challenge is a brutal task, that requires anyone brave enough to embark on it, to walk around 26 miles and ascend over 3000m, taking in the dizzying heights of Ben Nevis (1,344m), Scafell Pike (978m) and Snowdon (1,085m). It is usually completed within 24 hours, but as it’s our “big 30” we’re cutting the team some slack and giving them an extra 6 hours.

It all happens on Monday 13th September 2021 to Tuesday 14th September 2021 and training is well underway!

Our willing volunteers will be taking on the challenge to support Shine Cancer Support which is the only UK charity that supports adults in their 20s, 30s and 40s who have experienced a cancer diagnosis. The coronavirus pandemic has had a huge impact on Shine and its community. Fundraising has dramatically declined, but at the same time demand for Shine’s special tailored services has been increasing.

We have set ourselves an ambitious target to raise a total of £250 per person. With a 13-person strong team, we are hopeful that we can smash our £3,250 fundraising target but need your help to do that.

We understand that this year has been one of the toughest ever, for everyone, but Shine still need our support, now more than ever in fact, to help them complete their valuable work.
