The incredible work that Animal SOS Sri Lanka does is really difficult to fathom unless you have been to their amazing establishment.

Dedicated staff and volunteers care for the 1000+ dogs 24/7, the managers live on-site to ensure that the most vulnerable animals get the unconditional care they need to recover from the horrific traumas that led to their entering the sanctuary.

The logistical nightmare of feeding all the animals with a healthy and fresh diet prepared fresh daily and administering the veterinary care is an ongoing job which we can only guess the complexities of.

The site provides refuge to animals that would otherwise have perished, there are anti-social violent dogs that have their own packs and compounds and even a large number (70+) immobile dogs with spinal damage that are looked after by a dedicated team; cleaning, exercising, socialising and walking them with them with the aid of special wheelchairs donated to this incredible project.

This organisation relies completely on donations from everyday people like you that chose not to contribute to the wellbeing of some of the most vulnerable animals in Sri Lanka.

I hope this unsupported cycle tour will help inspire people like you to get involved in helping an incredible cause like this keep running.

I will cycle to Manchester with a practically non-existent budget camping all the way, all I ask of you is to donate only what you can spare and share this page just once on social media to help make this project a success!
