Turning the Tide 2023 · 17 June 2023
In June of this year, Jules will be embarking on her third 26.2 mile open water swim in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support. Each mile of the swim will be dedicated to a person whose life has been affected by cancer, with the opening mile dedicated to our friend and colleague from Ashfield School, Chris Patrick.
As the training for this kind of event is so intense, (a minimum of 75 sessions!), these sessions have been opened up to sponsorship, too. Twice a week Di Massey, Sally Marsh and Jules Taylor swim together before school in the Ashfield pool and they plan to show their support for a number of their colleagues who have fought/are fighting cancer. Their aim is to swim a minimum of 6,000 lengths as a team before Jules' big open water swim. Craig Harrison will also be running the Great North Run in Chris's name.
There is no minimum donation for either aspect of the event, and the team fully appreciate how tight things are financially for so many people at the moment. However small your donation, it will be gratefully received and it WILL make a massive difference to someone.
Thank you so much.
