Story
It's no secret that I'm not a natural runner. This is proved by the fact that I couldn't find any pictures of me doing anything remotely sporty, so you get one of me in a bar instead.
BUT! All that is going to change. Despite still having nightmares about doing cross country at school (oh, the horror), I have signed up to do a 10k run, perhaps against my better judgement...
It's a bit of a challenge. Actually, a huge challenge. However, it's one that will hopefully raise a pile of cash for Guys and St Thomas's as well as getting me a bit healthier along the way.
They do fantastic research into cancer, haematology and women's health amongst other things, and have a brilliant children's hospital. On top of that, they look after my wonky bone marrow and dubious pancreas rather well and I'd like them to continue to do that for many, many years to come.
It would be a massive incentive if you could help turn Turner into a runner (hence Turnrunner... terrible, I know!). Thanks so much for your support.
And here's the science bit:
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity. Lauren xx
