Turner & Townsend in Nottingham is supporting Action for Children this year. We aim to reach our fundraising target of £5,000.

One in every 10 children in the UK is suffering from neglect - this means there are children in every street across the country who are suffering in some way. Neglect has far-reaching consequences and can take many forms. It has a hugely negative impact on their future and their ability to reach their full potential.

Action for Children's services have been improving the lives of the most vulnerable children and families in local communities since 1869. More than 600 services are providing practical and tangible solutions in the most vulnerable communities. Last year, they directly supported 310,000 children, young people and their families across the UK.

In partnership with Action for Children, we are providing vital support to these vulnerable children, young people and families, empowering them to reach their full potential.

Our Nottingham office is organising various fundraising events and activities throughout 2019, including those below:

- Cycling Challenge 2019 - 11 people are cycling 250 miles from London to Paris over three days on 21 - 23 June. Each participant is self-funding their place in the team. We aim to reach a target fund of £3,000 from this event alone.

Route: London to Newhaven (day 1), Newhaven to Dieppe Ferry (day 1), Dieppe to Beauvais (day 2) and Beauvais to Paris (day 3)

- Charity Summer Quiz Night - June 26 2019 at Alea Nottingham

- Dress down days

- Baking sales
