I have recently had the pleasure of teaching a little boy called Max to swim.  He is a delightful, cheeky faced 2 year old with Cerebal Palsy Spastic Diplegia.  This effects his ability to move his legs, control his balance, develop his speech and enjoy all the normal 'childhood' activities that most take for granted.  With a younger brother close on his heels, I want to help this lovely family give this gorgeous little man the best possible start they can.

Medical procedures that could help Max are not available in the UK, and his family have been fundraising to pay for a much needed operation in St Louis, Missouri.  Following that, he will need 2 years of physical therapy.  It will be tough for them long after I have run my Brutal 10k but I hope I can raise a little more to get them past their finish line!
