We are participating in the North London Collegiate Relay for Life in order to raise money for Cancer research UK. Cancer effects many people worldwide each day and in order for it to stop we must contribute by raising money for them.

We are raising money for this vital research in many ways – we will be doing an overnight sponsered walk for cancer, bag packing at different stores, selling cancer bands, and of course collecting donations.

We are all aware of how important Cancer Research is, and how is provides lifesaving medicine for people around the country. In the last 10 years, thousands of lives have been saved, and we want to raise that number even more. Approximatly 7.6 million people die each year from cancer!

For those who dont know what cancer is, it is a group of diseases which grow and spread around ones body. People die as the spread is uncontrollable and unstoppable. Cancer is caused by many things, some of which are - chemicals, radiation and immune conditions. Cancer can also be passed down from generation to generation and runs in your family. Cancer has many forms such as breast cancer or liver caner.

Many of us have lost relatives and friends close to our hearts, so we understand the importance of this research and how it can save millions of lives. We cannot stress to you enough, just how important cancer research is and how every little bit you give can make a huge difference, whether its money or time or love.

We are participating in an event on the 5th of July 2009 and we will be fundraising for a year in adavance, we'd all really appreciate any type of donation. We understand how big our aim is, but any donation you can offer would be a huge help and can take us steps closer to our goal.
