The Michael Ducksbury Memorial Sponsored Vintage Tractor Road Run is a family organised event. It was started in 2005 in remembrance of Michael who we sadly lost to bowel cancer in 2004. Michael was very keen on vintage tractors, so we decided to organise a vintage tractor road run through Michael's home village and surrounding area. 

During Michael's illness he was treated at Weston Park Hospital in Sheffield. The care he was given here, and the support our family received, were exceptional and so much appreciated that we decided to make the road run a sponsored event to raise as much money to donate to the hospital as possible, so the care and support we received can continue to be given to other families.

Since the start, our monies raised through sponsorship, raffle and donations, has been spent on equipment and refurbishment of both the family room of Ward 2 and the radiography area of Weston Park Hospital.
