We're raising money for Alzheimer's Research UK to aid in the prevention of Alzheimer's.

The disease Alzheimer's robs a person of their identity slowly, some sufferers lose memory, others lose other important cognitive functions such as being unable to recognise the keys on a keyboard, and for those around them it is incredibly painful to watch someone they knew so well disappear.

My reasons for raising money for this charity are that my favourite author Sir Terry Pratchett succumbed to this awful disease, the variant Terry suffered from him robbed his ability to write the books he is so famous for.

Imagine for a second that you walk up to a keyboard and go to write something down but wait, the letters P, G, and E have disappeared? You ask for help and much to your embarrassment your colleague/friend/family member points at the keys on the keyboard and says "they're right there, where they always were".
