2.6 Challenge supporting Donate 4 Refugees

The 2.6 Challenge · 26 April 2020 ·
The 2.6 campaign has been designed to help UK charities to survive and ride out this difficult time.
Why 2.6? Well this weekend was meant to be the 26 Mile London Marathon which generates millions of pounds for 100's of charities. Like so many other fundraising events it's been postponed.
So instead of running the 26 miles you're invited to dream up an activity based around the numbers 2.6 or 26 that suits your skills and complete it on Sunday 26th April – when the 40th London Marathon would have taken place.
This could be something as simple as pledging to run or ride 2.6 miles as your daily exercise, singing for 26 minutes, or baking 26 muffins and selling them to your family!
Tell your friends what you plan to do on Sunday 26th and get them to sponsor you by popping a donation on the page with your name and challenge beside it.
ANY MONEY THAT YOU RAISE WILL go directly to the brilliant Donate4Refugees helping families across Europe to receive aid and have hope, love and protection during these unprecedented times.
Overcrowding in Refugee camps has meant that advice to #StayHome practice #SocialDistancing even to #WashHands is pretty much impossible.
Water taps are shared. There is limited soap. 7000 people live in close confines in a area built to house 700.
Lockdown has meant volunteers are fewer on the ground and access to camps is very tricky.
The fastest and easiest way to assist the key existing grassroots groups operating front line is to send them financial support as soon as possible so they can get the aid out quickly to where the need is greatest:- food, hygiene, protective gear and equipment amongst other things.
