Story

I am writing this post very quickly, too quickly perhaps given the gravity of what it’s about.

Why am I choosing my charity?

Well the reason for that is very simple.

The woman I love (my wife btw) was diagnosed with cancer two years ago.

I will spare you the details but she is still here, she is well, and the outlook is rosy.

The situation for many others is not so hot.

That is where Macmillan come in. They are the people who are experts in helping those who have been told they have cancer.

They care with professionalism and dignity and 97% of their income comes from donations.

The support they provide is practical, whether it be in the shape of end-of-life palliative care, or direct financial support to those with cancer and their families.

I am proud to support them and I hope you can see your way to giving them a bob or two as well.
