Story

Thanks for visiting our JustGiving page.

So, Ewan and I are participating in the 10in10 Challenge again this year – some will say we are absolutely insane, and we are. Last year, I thought I might be having a heart attack and went all tingly, but Ewan pulled me through. So yeah, this will be fun...sorry, I mean painful.

For those who don't know, the 10in10 Challenge is an annual challenge set up in order to raise money for the MS Society UK. Ewan and I both have friends and family with MS and know how difficult it can make life for those living with MS. There is currently no cure for MS; there are some treatments to slow the condition and some treatments to help ease the symptoms. The MS Society work incredibly hard leading research with an aim to end MS and we want to help.

To raise awareness, and a bit of money for this great cause, we will be climbing 10 fells, spanning a distance of 26km, with an elevation gain of over 2000 metres in the space of 10 hours (hopefully).

Last year, we completed the challenge in 9 hours 35 minutes, with a moving time of 7 hours 23 minutes (yes, that's over 2 hours where we were not moving). Thanks to all your generous donations, we raised £772 which absolutely blew our £200 target out the water! In total, the 2021 10in10 Challenge raised £88,524 which is absolutely amazing.

This year, Ewan has peer-pressured me into completing the challenge, so I've decided we need to beat our 9hr 35min record. We appreciate that the cost of living is disgusting these days, but we would be very grateful if you could donate (even a tiny donation would be very much appreciated), and in return, you will see two slightly overweight men climb some hills.

Thanks.

Matt and Ewan x

Ps. As with last year, we will share our Strava Beacon so you can watch us struggle, live on Strava.
