Two Step was established in 1993 to help house homeless people from the streets of London. Although homelessness has become less visible since the early 1990s, it has not diminished as a problem. In fact recently, Two Step have noticed a significant increase in the numbers of people seeking assistance. Since 1993, Two Step has tended to find long term accommodation for between 150 to 250 homeless people a year. In 2009 Two Step housed 334 people and this year we have already housed 300 people up to September.

This increase in need has coincided with a decrease in income from most of our funding sources. This is a classic resource squeeze.
