Story

Thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I will be running the London Marathon 2018 in memory of my Sister Nikkola Sparkhall and Brother Danny-Ross Sparkhall.

On Friday 15th my siblings were dropped off at school not knowing this would be the last time my family would see them full of life. They were like twins with little more than a year between them. My sister being the mother hen to my blue eyed blonde haired brother.

At around 10pm my father received the call to say the house was on fire. On arrival at the house the fire-fighters were tackling the huge burning flames. In a total haze my father drove to North Middlesex hospital where they had been taken. He was led to a room where he was told that his beautiful children had succumbed to smoke inhalation and was then taken into another room, together again with his children, only this time in death. His little girl had tried so hard to hold on, but we guess she wanted to be with her brother, playmate and best friend.

It’s now my turn to give something back to the courageous fire fighters that risked their lives and fought so hard to try and save my sister and brother. I’m not only doing this for my own achievements but also in the memory of my siblings, who would have been incredibly proud.

The money I raise will be donated to The Fire Fighters Charity, who support fire-fighters who have endured trauma and injury in the line of their work. (It will also help me to get out in all weathers, to train when I do not want to and to move my body around the 26.2 Miles of the London marathon in 2018).

Thank you for your support

Tyla x
