We’re Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM), and we’re a suicide prevention charity. We host a helpline for people affected by suicide, as well as vital online resources for anyone who needs them.

Story

In 2017, my dad decided to take his own life, so this year I have decided to run a 10k in his memory and help raise money for a charity very specific to my dad's passing. I have decided to take part in the 10k also, to help my own mental health and want to raise as much money to help support funding for sufferers of mental health. It's a hidden disease and there needs to be more support for men to not be afraid to speak up and be open. CALM offers amazing support for men suffering and in terms of bereavement. My dad was never a weak man, just longing for help and I hope this event I take place in has made him very proud and can help support someone in the future to not decide to take their own life.  #kro
