Tyler's Skydive for Alfie Bears Journey Fund · 8 June 2019

The Brain Tumour Charity is the world’s leading brain tumour charity and the largest dedicated funder of research into brain tumours globally. Committed to saving and improving lives, we’re moving further and faster to help every single person affected by a brain tumour. A cure really can’t wait

Story

Tyler will now be doing his Tandem Skydive on the 27 July 2019 (this was postponed due to weather conditions) to raise funds for Alfie Bears charity,  a charity set up and based in Northampton. This charity was set up by Alfie’s parents to help raise awareness and funds for much needed research into DIPG(Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma), highly aggressive and incurable brain tumour and is linked to The Brain Tumour Charity. DIPG affects approximately 40 children every year in the UK, with one child being diagnosed every 9 days.

Prognosis in relation to brain tumours is an average number, given in months or years, that a patient is likely to survive for following diagnosis, it is important to remember that each child’s journey is unique and not necessarily represented by an average figure.
