Story
The University of Birmingham Air Squadron (UBAS) will be fundraising for The Veterans Charity during the 2016-2017 academic year. This year the University of Birmingham Air Squadron will be taking part in numerous events to raise money for The Veterans Charity, each designed to challenge the students pushing them to new limits. The events include:
#12Days, December 2016 - UBAS will be engaging in a bit of festive fun, using social media to raise awareness for The Veterans Charity. Over the twelve days of Christmas, squadron members will post videos of themselves singing festive songs on Facebook using the hashtag #12Days. The aim is to raise awareness for the charity and what a difficult time of year it can be for some veterans.
24-hour Circuit Challenge, February 2017- Members of UBAS will undertake a gruelling 24 hours of constant circuits at RAF Cosford, Shropshire. Everyone taking part will be pushed to breaking point on little to no sleep for 24 hours.
The Forces March 2017, May 2017 – The Forces March is a march that covers 134 miles over 5 days following the route of a legendary WW2 training march. The start location is Ilfracombe and finishes in Bulford and each day the participants will cover over a marathon!
Please support us in raising funds for The Veterans Charity that do so much amazing work. We thank you in advance.
