'Supporting NHS staff and volunteers caring for Covid-19 patients' run by Association of NHS Charities is currently focused on funding grants to help NHS charities support the health and emotional wellbeing of NHS staff, volunteers and patients in ways above and beyond that which NHS funding can usually provide.  

UCLAN Chamber Choir's past members wanted to do something positive to support these amazing key workers by recording 'May it Be' which is a very important song for the choir all about staying strong, making it through, and most important of all - hope. It also cheered us all up and gave us the opportunity to virtually get together and sing, which is what we all love to do! 

During the Covid-19 crisis our physical and mental health and wellbeing is ever more important. It's more difficult now to visit friends and family for support, and to physically support those key workers that we know.  Music is an incredible tool to help people when they're at their most vulnerable, hence why we wanted to get together (virtually) and sing.  It's magical that so many past choir members wanted to do this, especially when so many of us don't know each other.  

It's been an incredible experience and huge thanks to Mark Goggins, our superb mentor and course leader at UCLAN who pulled all the music, click tracks and practise videos together; and Dan Booth, a past member of the choir who has made the video. Both put in a phenomenal amount of effort to make this happen.
